About The Event
Join us at Pearl Moon Farm in Haīkū, Upcountry Maui for a morning dedicated to the beauty of Lei and Pua! Immerse yourself in this picturesque farm and meet farm owner Bobbie Owens and her right hand man Paige Minney as they tour you around the property. Included in this walking tour will be the chance to 'ohi (to gather) materials to include in your lei. Once the tour concludes, youʻll arrive to tables filled with flowers, all of your lei wili supplies, and refreshments. You'll learn to create our Signature Style Lei Wili using the traditional wrapping technique with fresh tropical flowers, foliage, and other authentic materials. In just 2.5 hours or less, you'll craft your own Lei Wili, perfect for wearing as a Lei Poʻo on your head or as a Lei Aʻi around your neck. Along the way, we'll explore the cultural significance, symbolism, and history of lei in Hawaiian culture. You'll gain valuable skills in gathering and using natural materials, learning a style of lei-making that requires patience and dexterity as you weave together your beautiful creation.
This will be a beautiful day spent outdoors and we canʻt wait!
