"The earth laughs in flowers."

- Ralph Waldo Emerson-

Have you ever felt the beauty that ignites for all to see when adorned with a Haku Lei? As the precious gift is placed upon your head, your inner light begins to shine brighter than ever and announces the radiant presence of honor.  This is exactly what Haku Maui is all about!  Whether the Haku Lei is for a day of self honor or a gift for someone important in your life, the Haku Lei is the best accompaniment for any and every special occasion.

At Haku Maui, we specialize in traditional Hawaiian Lei for celebrations including Weddings, Bridal Showers, Rehearsal Dinners, Anniversaries, Birthdays, Graduations, Baby Showers, and more.  We also host exclusive Lei Workshops for a traditional Hawaiian Lei making experience, sure to be a highlight of your special occasion.

The foundation of Haku Maui is located on the slopes of Haleakala in the upcountry area of Makawao.  Here is where owner and creator of Haku Maui, Britney Alejo-Fishell, began her craft.  As her passion for Lei making developed, so did her dream of sharing her passion with others.  The beginnings of Haku Maui has been nothing short of a blessing.

Along this journey with Haku Maui is Britneyʻs lifelong friend, Celina Bailey.  Youʻll sometimes see her greeting our guests or jumping in with all things Haku Maui. Her love for all things aloha and her expertise with Hawaii's plants, language, and culture can be seen through all aspects of her life. Her Haku Lei always radiates as bright as her smile.

As well as Britneyʻs mother, Mama Sheryl, who has taken an early retirement to join the journey of Haku Maui. Known for her love of plants, open embrace, and the aloha-filled "Welcome!" to all that find our little lei shop, she brings so much life to Haku Maui.

The work of Haku Maui is expressed through their Lei and care for the clients experience.

We are here to create your vision so that you may join the journey of ours.
