This is exactly what Haku Maui is all about!  Whether the Lei is for a day of self honor or a gift for someone important in your life, each Lei carries with it the embrace of a loved one.

At Haku Maui, our goal is to perpetuate lei in Hawaiian Culture. We specialize in traditional Hawaiian Lei as well as immersive cultural Lei Workshop experiences.

The foundation of Haku Maui is located on the slopes of Haleakala in the upcountry area of Makawao.  Here is where owner and founder of Haku Maui, Britney Alejo-Fishell, began her craft.  As her passion for Lei making developed, so did her dream of sharing her passion with others.  The beginnings of Haku Maui has been nothing short of a blessing.  

 

Along this journey with Haku Maui is Britneyʻs mother, Mama Sheryl, who has taken an early retirement to join the journey of Haku Maui. Known for her love of plants, open embrace, and the aloha-filled "Welcome!" to all that find our little lei shop, she brings so much life to Haku Maui.

 

As well as Britneyʻs lifelong friend, Celina Bailey. Youʻll sometimes see her greeting our guests or jumping in with all things Haku Maui. Her love for all things aloha and her expertise with Hawaii's plants, language, and culture can be seen through all aspects of her life. Her Haku Lei always radiates as bright as her smile.
